In my last position, I stepped into a corporate role in a small direct sales party plan company, only to discover that they were still operating as if it were the 1990’s! I know some of you won’t begin to understand this, but they were deterred from using social media to grow and leverage their businesses. You heard that right! Don’t get me wrong, my strength has always been in face to face relationships, but this field was literally crippled. Against my best suggestions, we barely gained any traction in teaching them to survive in the online space. There was this underlying belief and resistance that the world of direct sales would go back to the way it was prior to 2020.

It’s never going back to the old ways my friends!

I’ve made it my personal mission to help you, the traditional direct seller who’s grown up in the party plan world to learn to leverage your skills and talents, and position yourself as your own brand. I know you’re loyal to your brand, as I was too. But that loyalty is only going to take you so far in this marketplace, where everyone is competing to be seen and heard.

Stop going to social to sell, sell, sell. Stop waving the proverbial flag of the company you represent. Stop asking people to do favors for you. Stop trying to be elusive. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Stop being resistant to change. Start adding massive value into the lives of those that are watching you! Start talking about the real reasons you’re diversifying your income. Start talking about the voids your business fulfills, that other’s can’t see.

Over my 30 years in this industry, I’ve come to truly appreciate where we are right here and now. There’s never been a time that I’ve been more proud of this industry. Many of you would’ve thrown in the towel by now. I’ve lost two sizable teams of my own, and I’ve been on the corporate side of two other companies when they’ve decided to close doors. It hasn’t been for the faint of heart. That’s why this decision to rebuild my own team once again wasn’t taken lightly. But more important, is my passion to diversify my income and to help you understand the direction of the marketplace and learn to show up so you too can win!

People do business with people they know, like and trust. Did you know that over 74% of the population is making a buying decision based on the recommendation of someone they trust!

You don’t want to put all your eggs in one basket, do you? One job loss or market downturn could leave you high and dry, scrambling to make ends meet. I’ve been there several times. But if you have multiple income streams, you can weather the storm and come out on top. Now hear me out, this does not mean to add multiple direct sales income streams to your portfolio. You need something consistent, while you’re building your asset. Yes, you heard that right! Building a network marketing, direct sales or e-commerce business is an asset and it’s going to be subject to the storms and fluctuations in the market.

When you diversify your income streams, you open yourself up to new markets, new customers, and new opportunities to make bank. Who knows, you may even discover a new passion or talent that you never knew you had!
